1,3 million users selling $20 gift cards for $10



As a marketing tool for small businesses, LivingSocial.com, competitor of Groupon, sold $20 Amazon.com gift cards for $10. 

LivingSocial has sold this week over 1,300,000 coupons for $13 million.  Experts believe this start-up lost money with the deal.  

However, this promotion gives him a big publicity boost, in addition to getting new users who sign up and then become local customers.
